Unofficial returns from the August 4 primary suggest four races headed for an uncontested general election will now have a choice on them. No one at the county can recall it happening before.
An emergency motion docketed days before the August 4 primary. The petitioners say the county’s own records show four county races are contested — while the official voters’ pamphlet mailed to every household calls them unopposed.
